Joseph Pilates 'The Mind' quote Pilates Galway

Gotta. Love. Sundays.

It’s either the last day of a crazy or calm weekend, or the first day of a brand new week.

A clean slate. A fresh start.

We are entering Week 4 of the current term. Do you ever wonder where the time goes to? Our five-week term always seem to move at a flying pace. Flying by because you are all working so hard at home, at work and right here in the studio with us at Mindful Movements.

Over the next two weeks we are going to focus on spinal health and mobility. Do make sure you pop back to visit the blog for next week’s instalment as there will be a wealth of information shared on keeping you lean, limber and flexible!

Now, down to the business of asking for help. This is never an easy thing to do. We know the hardest part is walking through the doors and telling a complete stranger that you need help. Some of you are in physical pain, others are in need of a change.

Yet – you do it. You have reached the place in your life where you know that change is for the better – and you ask for help; we are always delighted to oblige.

Now we would like to ask for a little help – from you. We are working like mad here behind the scenes to build up our online profile, in the hopes that we can get a few more clients in the door for the colder months, to help work on those bodies for ski season and spring break away weekends!

Over the last week, We have been asking existing clients to ‘check in’ on Facebook and write us a few lines of a review.

For those of you who have done this – thank you!

You have earned yourself a €5 credit towards your next term – which starts the week of October 11th, 2015.

5-euro-discount

For those of you who have not had a chance to do this (yet), can I ask you to pop over to the Facebook page and give us a ‘like’ please?

Ok – so if you are a new, or hesitant and hopeful, client we also have a little bit of encouragement for you.

A few months ago, we renovated our smaller studio to the rear of the building and are now offering Aerial Yoga classes several times a week.

Yoga Galway

Anna is an exceptionally qualified yin yoga, anti gravity yoga and Pilates instructor. Having graduated with a Masters Degree in psychology, she continued her deep rooted interest in personal development through her studies, in Asia, of Vipassana, one of India’s most ancient meditation techniques.

So, you want to try this right? Maybe you already come to Pilates and you know what we are all about – or maybe you are brand new and a little hesitant or worried that you will hate it.

For the next few weeks (Sept 30th – Oct 28th), on Wednesday evenings at 7pm, we are offering an introduction to aerial yoga at Mindful Movements studio, for €10.

What’s the catch you say? Well, we are also asking all clients to ‘Check in’ on Facebook upon arrival, and then after your session – write a few short lines of a review before you leave. Let us know how you enjoyed (or were terrified of!) the whole experience.

That is a 50% reduction in the class fee boys and girls!

€10 savings

Call your gal pals, or best bros (yes, there are lots of lads signing up for this too!) and phone the studio (091) 760 044 or email us to reserve your silky swing (spaces are limited), and start working on strengthening your core and body in a totally new anti-gravity way!

Oh – and fear not – if you have been trying to encourage a friend or family member to try reformer Pilates, we will be running something similar for Pilates in a few weeks ‘Like bring a friend to class for 1/2 price’ even if they are kicking and screaming!

You will be ready for the Christmas Parties before you know it …

I know, I know, I know…. I mentioned the C word … it is only 89 sleeps, 13 hours, 8 minutes and 13 seconds to #Christmas! Well – who’s counting, right?

That just means that the Christmas partying starts a month sooner!

What are you waiting for?

And, last, but most certainly not least … time for the younger audience.

Keep your eyes peeled on the blog and FB page because we are working on rolling out a Halloween break workshop (1.5 hours per day) for the Tweens (ages 8 – 11) and Teens Ages 12 – 17) in your life.

We all have experience on how stressed kids can become – so we have decided to put together an Aerial Yoga workshop designed to teach the kids how to recognise and release stress in a few easy moves and meditations.

It’s all good folks … good clean fun in a safe and calm environment.

Right  –  that is all I have for now. See , asking for help isn’t so hard after all!

See you at the studio!
