Oh what a wonderful day we have had today in Galway!

Pilates Galway

We were up bright and early and spent most of the day over at the Bailey Allen Hall at NUI Galway for the annual SCCUL awards ceremony. It is not often we find ourselves stuck for words, but today has been hugely overwhelming and emotional.

While we did not walk away with a big win at the awards today, we were honoured to receive the first runner up prize in the Arts, Tourism and Sports category. None of this would have been possible without you – our dedicated clients, and of course our hardworking staff.

Now, I know the photos are not fantastic, but hey, we were there to work and not be fiddling around with cameras and lenses etc.

The President of NUI Galway, Dr. James Browne, Cllr. Frank Fahy, along with social guests Gavin Duffy, Emer Mulligan and Dr. Johanna Clancy all participated and contributed in todays event, making the day even more special for all the attendees and awardees.

Maybe, at the end of the day, we find ourselves a little emotional because we are nearing our 2 year anniversary (April) at Mindful Movements? Or maybe it is because Anna, our beautiful (inside and out) Yogi is leaving us for sunnier skies (can we blame her??) tomorrow?

Or maybe the emotions have welled up this evening because a special gift (see below) was dropped off this evening, and it has given us reason to pause for a minute and just be; Living in the moment, in the here and now. Loving that we are here, we are working hard and we are happy and healthy.

Life is good.

Thank you all, so very very much for making Mindful Movements survive and thrive in Galway. Long may it last.

See you at the studio!
